Ramsey, get all your materials and people

Ramsey, Fleming1-10-18Mr Miller          Have you ever thought about how importance of the arc on your jumpshot? Other things are important also but the arc is what’s going to decrease or increase your percentage.  It’s also important that you stay consistent with your arc so that you can build muscle memory. Materials needed to complete this project are a basketball, basketball goal, and a basketball court. You will also need volunteers to help with the shooting part so that the project is not bias. A video camera is optional but it will helps the experiment become more precise. Something to watch the videos to study the tape to see which arc provided you with a more accurate jumpshot. Last, you will need a protractor to measure the angle of which the arc is going in.First, get all your materials and people to meet at the basketball court or gym. Then, mark a place where you are going to do the experiment. Pick one place in the court so there is only one variable being changed which is the different arcs picked.Start off by the volunteers all doing the same jump shot form and record the amount of shots being made(before you start get a couple of warm up shots up so all the shooters are in the zone). After you have used the first jumpshot move on to the next and make sure all the volunteers are using the same arc because if they aren’t then the experiment would not be accurate and as precise as you would want. Then, once you have repeated these steps to use all the different jumpshot forms you are using then go back and watch the video to calculate all the shots made from each of the different forms. Once you have calculated this you will be able to tell which arc has the highest percentage of made. You will be able to come to a conclusion of which jumpshot was the most effective. The arc of your jumpshot is the most important part of your shot. The arc is what separates  from the greatest shooters like stephen curry, ray allen and so on. Stephen curry has the third highest free throw percentage shooting in Nba history mainly because the arc on his shot. On the the other had kobe bryant has the record for the most missed shots in nba history because the arc on his shot was flat. Another nba player, jamal crawford has one of the most highest arc on a jump shot. He is ranked number 6 with the most 3 pointers made in nba history. In conclusion, many different NBA players have high arcs to low arcs and in this project it will tell you out of a totally unbiased experiment which of the three different arcs are the best. Some of the best shooters like steph has a jump shot right between high arc and medium arc. He tweaked his jump shot till he found the perfect arc and now he has won multiple MVPs and championships while hitting 500 plus three every season. Once you have found the arc you like the most you have to practice a lot to get into rhythm so that you perfect your jump shot.
